Yes, the software was designed from the beginning to work on most major network environments including Novell Netware 3.x and 4.x, Windows NT Advanced Server, Microsoft LAN Manager, Banyan Vines, IBM LAN Server, Windows for Workgroups, LANtastic and more. For large scale systems, we recommend our MSDS Enterprise Server which uses Microsoft's SQL Server for the database and allows for Internet MSDS retrieval.

MSDS Scan Wizard has an archiving section which will keep old revisions of your products in a separate place to avoid confusion and unnecessary build-up. These MSDSs can be viewed or printed from the archives at any time, without having to go through the current copies.
Does your software have security? How does it work?
Yes, the software does have security. It implements a simple five-level password system. Level 0 is read-only for all databases. Level 1 is read-only for all databases except the user can enter their location for an MSDS. Level 2 is read only for all databases except the main MSDS database. Level 3 is read/write on all databases except the security, and Level 4 is read/write on all databases plus they can administer the security system.
